Mefix is a dressing retention tape which will securely stick dressings to the skin, and is formulated to avoid any skin irritation. It's a very flexible tape, with some degree of stretch, and a high tensile strength. Mefix must be cut withscissors. Mefix may also be used as a base layer under adhesive sport tapes (for instancezinc oxide tapeorEAB) and will improve their fit by providing a good surface on which to stick. In this situation, mefix will also provide some level of protection to the underlying skin.
